Charles K. Rowley
Professor of Economics at George Mason University and General Director of The Locke Institute in Fairfax, Virginia. Editor (Joint) of Public Choice since May 1990. Member of the Mont Pèlerin Society. Listed in Mark Blaug's Who's Who in Economics (since 1986). Honorary Lifetime President of The European Public Choice Society. Founding Editor of The International Review of Law and Economics 1981-87. Member of the Editorial Board of The Review of Austrian Economics. Member of the Academic Advisory Council of The Institute of Economic Affairs.
He was educated in Southampton, England; the University of Nottingham; and the London School of Economics, and came to the United States in 1984. A major force in political and economic thought for the last 25 years, he has published some twenty-eight books and over 125 articles. His work clearly and consistently supports limited government and the free enterprise system.
